👉 চলতি বছরের জুন থেকে স্কুল ফিডিং প্রকল্প চালু হবে। 'দারিদ্র পীড়িত এলাকায় স্কুল ফিডিং’ শীর্ষক প্রকল্পটি ২০১০ সালে চালু হয়ে জুন ২০২২ -এ সমাপ্ত হয়। প্রকল্পটি দেশের ১০৪টি উপজেলায় চালু ছিল। প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের শিশুদের পুষ্টি ঘাটতি পূরণ, বিদ্যালয়ে শতভাগ ভর্তি, নিয়মিত বিদ্যালয়ে উপস্থিতি, ঝরে পড়া রোধ, যথাসময়ে শিক্ষাচক্র সমাপ্তকরণে প্রকল্পটি কার্যকর ভূমিকা রেখেছে। তাই দেশের সকল সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ে স্কুল ফিডিং কার্যক্রম গ্রহণ করার জন্য পদক্ষেপ নেয়া হয়েছে। 

👉 চলতি মাসের ২৫ থেকে ২৮ তারিখের মধ্যে প্রাথমিকের বৃত্তি পরীক্ষার ফলাফল ঘোষণা করা হবে। 

👉 আগামী সপ্তাহে সহকারী শিক্ষকদের অনলাইনে আন্ত: উপজেলা ও আন্ত: জেলা বদলী শুরু হবে। 

👉 দেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তে ছড়িয়ে থাকা সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়সমূহের অনেকগুলোর নাম শ্রুতিকটু ও নেতিবাচক ভাবার্থ সম্বলিত যা শিশুর রুচি, মনন, বোধ ও পরিশীলিভাবে বেড়ে ওঠার জন্য অন্তরায়। এ জন্য মন্ত্রণালয় এসব বিদ্যালয়ের নাম পরিবর্তন করে সুন্দর, রুচিশীল, শ্রুতিমধুর এবং স্থানীয় বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তিবর্গ, বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধাসহ স্থানীয় ইতিহাস, সংস্কৃতির সাথে মানানসই নামকরণের সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ করেছে। গত ২৩ জানুয়ারি, ২০২৩ -এ সংক্রান্ত একটি নীতিমালা জারি করা হয়েছে। 

👉 চলতি বছরের মার্চের মধ্যে প্রাথমিক পর্যায়ের সকল শিক্ষকের পাঠ্যক্রম বিস্তরণ সংক্রান্ত এবং বিষয়ভিত্তিক প্রশিক্ষণ সংক্রান্ত যাবতীয় কার্যক্রম সম্পন্ন করা হবে। 

👉 করোনা মহামারীর দরুন বন্ধ থাকার পর মার্চের মধ্যে জাতীয় প্রাথমিক শিক্ষা সপ্তাহ এবং বঙ্গবন্ধু ও বঙ্গমাতা গোল্ডকাপ ফুটবল টুর্নামেন্ট অনুষ্ঠিত হবে।

👉 সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ে শিক্ষকদের দেড় বছরের ডিপ্লোমা ইন প্রাইমারি এডুকেশন (ডিপিএড) কোর্স থাকছে না। নতুন করে চালু করা হচ্ছে প্রাইমারি টিচার বেসিক ট্রেনিং (পিটিবিটি) নামের ১০ মাসের কোর্স। 

👉 প্রতি বছর অনেক শিক্ষক অবসরে চলে যান। ফলে কিছু জায়গায় শূন্যতা থাকে দীর্ঘ সময়। এজন্য কিছুদিন পরপর বিভাগ ভিত্তিক, ক্লাস্টার ভিত্তিক নিয়োগ দেয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত হয়েছে। সব শেষ নিয়োগে প্রায় আাড়াই হাজার শিক্ষক যোগদান করেনি। 

উক্ত সংবাদ সম্মেলনে উপস্থিত ছিলেন প্রাথমিক ও গণশিক্ষা প্রতিমন্ত্রী জনাব, মো. জাকির হোসেন এমপি; প্রাথমিক ও গণশিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়ের সচিব জনাব, ফরিদ আহাম্মদ; প্রাথমিক শিক্ষা অধিদপ্তরের মহাপরিচালক জনাব, শাহ রেজওয়ান হায়াত; মন্ত্রণালয়ের অতিরিক্ত সচিব জনাব, আবুবকর সিদ্দিক ও জনাব, মো. মোশাররফ হোসেন।

Excerpts from the press conference organized on initiatives and achievements of primary education in the conference room of the ministry at the Secretariat on 14 February 2023.

👉 School feeding project will be launched in June this year. The project titled 'School feeding in poverty-stricken areas' was launched in 2010 and ended in June 2022. The project was operational in 104 upazilas in the country. The project has effectively addressed nutritional deficiencies of primary school children, 100% enrollment in schools, regular school attendance, prevention of dropouts, and timely completion of the education cycle. Therefore steps have been taken to adopt school feeding programs in all government primary schools in the country.

👉 Primary scholarship exam results will be announced between the 25th to 28th of this month.

👉 Next week online transfer of assistant teachers between upazila and inter-district will start.

👉 Many of the names of the government primary schools spread in different parts of the country have negative connotations which hinder the development of the child's taste, mind, sense and sophistication. For this, the ministry has decided to change the names of these schools to be beautiful, tasteful, melodious and suitable to the local history and culture, including prominent people, and brave freedom fighters. A policy was issued on January 23, 2023.

👉 All activities related to curriculum development and subject-specific training of all primary-level teachers will be completed by March this year.

👉 National Primary Education Week and Bangabandhu and Bangamata Gold Cup Football Tournament will be held in March after being suspended due to Corona Pandemic.

👉 There is no one-and-a-half-year Diploma in Primary Education (DPed) course for teachers in government primary schools. A 10-month course called Primary Teacher Basic Training (PTBT) is being introduced.

Many teachers retire every year. As a result, some places remain empty for a long time. For this reason, it has been decided to make department-based and cluster-based recruitments after a few days. About 2500 teachers did not join all the last recruitments.
